Luc Van Acker

Luc Van Acker is a Belgian multidisciplinary artist, musician, songwriter and producer whose creative journey spans nearly five decades.

While his musical career brought him international recognition, a parallel world of painting and visual experimentation remained largely out of public view.

Today, Luc is gradually opening his personal archive, revealing an extensive collection of artworks that reflect a lifetime of curiosity, experimentation and artistic freedom.

His paintings move freely between abstraction and figuration, combining bold colours, intricate textures and unexpected imagery. Each work reflects an instinctive approach to visual expression, unconstrained by any particular style or convention.

From playful compositions to darker, more enigmatic creations, his artistic universe is as diverse as it is unpredictable. Across decades of experimentation, Luc has continued to explore new ideas, materials and techniques, guided above all by curiosity and imagination.

A Parallel Universe

Throughout his musical career, Luc Van Acker continued to explore an equally expressive visual language. His paintings reveal an instinctive world of colour, texture, movement and unexpected forms. Rather than an extension of his music, these works offer another perspective on an artist who has always resisted creative boundaries.
One journalist described Luc's paintings as "being organic and raw, with affinities to the German art movement Die Junge Wilden".

An Unseen World

For decades, Luc Van Acker has created artworks mainly away from the public eye, following his imagination without the constraints of expectations or conventions. Now, for the first time, he is gradually revealing this extraordinary personal archive. Each new collection offers another glimpse into a creative world that has been quietly evolving for almost fifty years.

"I don't paint sounds. I paint the silence that follows them."
